Common Use

HTTP Service is typically used for a web servers.

Inbound Scan

If you are running a web server and have forwarded port 80 on your firewall then you need to setup a port forward within Link Logger such that future inbound traffic on this port will be logged as normal and not as an alert.

There are a number of attacks and worms that target vulnerabilities within web servers.  Currently the most common scans target WebDav (note very long page) exploits, DoS attack, Code Red and Nimda.

Outbound Scan

Not setup as an alert within Link Logger.
